- Endorsed by their religious body for chaplaincy
- Have at least five (5) years experience in pastoral ministry
- Appointed to chaplaincy by an agency, company, or organization
- Committed to the Chaplains Code of Conduct
2. Associate Members are . . .
- Appointed to chaplaincy by an agency, company, or organization
- Not the ecclesiastical endorsement, and/or Do Not have pastoral ministry experience
- Committed to the Chaplains Code of Conduct

MC supports volunteer and paid chaplains, and assists law enforcement agencies in developing local chaplaincy programs. MC members are provided with a wide variety of training seminars. A network of mutual support helps disseminate and share information among chaplains. MC assist law enforcement agencies seeking to start or advance their chaplaincy program.
